Laurent Ducoin



Laurent Ducoin was previously Head of European Equities – Stock-picking at Amundi. He led a team of 10 Portfolio Managers supported by 17 Analysts, running €12B in European Equities across various strategies. He directly managed the pan European Equities strategy.

Laurent started his career in Paris in 2000 as a Sell-side analyst for Oddo and then CM-CIC covering small and midcap companies. He subsequently moved to London as a Buy-side analyst for BlackRock (2004-2011) joining the European Specialist Team in charge of $2bn of AuM. Laurent became a Portfolio Manager in 2005 running an institutional mandate. He also contributed to the launch of 2 new products. In 2011, Laurent became Head of European Equities when joining Carmignac in Paris. He oversaw €2bn of AuM and managed directly €1.1bn (one large cap fund, one institutional mandate and one small cap fund). In 2014, Laurent had an entrepreneurial experience with a strategic-minority-interest investment style very similar to Comitium.

Laurent holds a master’s degree in civil engineering from Ecole Speciale des Travaux Publics de Paris and a professional degree in Financial Analysis from the SFAF.
Laurent was rated 7th best European Stock-picker in 2002 and 5th in 2003 by Extel Survey.
